Hey there, I'm Jen, the proud owner of Arrows Photography in Vancouver, Washington. Planning your wedding day is an incredible journey, and I'm here to help you navigate it, starting with crafting a seamless timeline.

TIMELINE TIPS

A few months before your big day, I'll send over a wedding day timeline questionnaire. This tool allows us to create a schedule tailored to your needs, ensuring we have plenty of time to capture those unforgettable moments.

But, here's the secret sauce - always leave room for flexibility. Weddings have a way of throwing surprises our way, so a little wiggle room goes a long way. Planning for potential delays ensures a relaxed atmosphere, rather than a rushed one.

Sample Timeline

To give you a head start, here is a sample timeline. Remember, this is just template and will be adjusted based on your specific sunset time.

GETTING READY & DETAILS

When I arrive, please have the following items ready for the detail shots:

  • HIS: shoes, ring, ring box, bowtie or tie, tie clip, pocket square, watch, cuff links, vow book, etc.
  • HERS: Invitation suite, shoes, ring(s), ring box, bracelets, earrings, necklace, hair pieces, vow book, perfume etc.

Additionally:

  1. Include any sentimental details that hold special meaning for you.
  2. Provide a pretty hanger for your dress.
  3. If possible, incorporate floral elements.

Remember, we typically start capturing "Getting Ready" moments when you're nearly finished, ensuring you look your best.

WHAT TO WEAR IDEAS

Consider wearing a beautiful lace robe or gown for dreamy getting ready photos.

THE "GETTING READY" SPACE

Select your getting ready location mindfully, as it sets the mood for your photos. Opt for a spacious, well-lit area with natural light to create a serene atmosphere.

THE CEREMONY

Starting your ceremony approximately 2 hours before sunset provides ample time for formal photos, including family, bridesmaids, groomsmen, and couple portraits.

FAMILY PHOTOS "FORMALS"

After the ceremony, family formals commence. A detailed family photo list helps streamline this process, ensuring efficiency and a seamless experience for everyone involved.

FULL WEDDING PARTY PHOTOS

Following family photos, we'll capture images of the entire wedding party, creating lasting memories.

COUPLE PORTRAITS

This is where the magic happens! We'll steal you away for intimate sunset photos, capturing the love and emotion between you two.

Note: Allow 45-30 minutes for couple portraits. Consider a "Day After Wedding Session" for extended time in your wedding attire.

RECEPTION

For beautifully lit reception photos, consider using Italian string lights. I'll be there to capture candid moments and details throughout the evening.

THE GRAND ENTRANCE

I'll photograph your grand entrance, focusing on candid shots of you and your partner. Ensure that distracting lighting is kept to a minimum.

DINNER

While no one wants photos with mouths full of food, I'll take a break to eat alongside you. Coordination with the caterer ensures I'm present for all important moments.

PARTY

Let the celebration begin! I'll be there to document the dancing and festivities, ensuring every joyful moment is captured.

SPARKLER EXIT

If your venue permits, a sparkler exit can be a magical finale. This usually takes about 15 minutes, allowing for a variety of stunning shots.

BE BOLD. BE YOU.

Remember, it's your wedding day, and you have the freedom to make it uniquely yours. From elopements to unconventional traditions, embrace what feels right for you and your partner.

At Arrows Photography, I'm dedicated to immortalizing the moments and the love you share. Let's make your day unforgettable!
